    The FPA of Long Island is the voice and the premier resource to our members and the public on the Financial Planning profession.

    Mission Statement

    The FPA of Long Island chapter, through its Program Meetings and Annual Symposium provides an educational and networking forum for professional Financial Planners so they may provide the highest level of service to their clients.

    We promote activities on Long Island to benefit the Financial Planning profession, our members and the general public.

    The Long Island Chapter will continue to build and retain a growing membership with a
    shared vision.

    FPA Business Objectives 

    • Unify the voice, focus and resources of the Financal Planning community, bringing together those who champion the Financial Planning process.
    • Facilitate the success of our members and grow the organization.
    • Cultivate the body of knowledge of personal Financial Planning.
    • Advance awareness of the characteristics of professional Financial Planners and support the standards of the CFP® certification in order to serve the public.
    • Define and effectively communicate a common understanding of the discipline of personal Financial Planning and the benefits of its use.

    FPA Standard of care

    All Financial Planning services will be delivered in accordance with the following
    standard of care:
    • Put the client's best interest first;
    •Act with due care and in utmost good faith;
    • Do not mislead clients;
    • Provide full and fair disclosure of all materials facts; and 
    •Disclose and fairly manage all material conflicts and interest.
