    Tax Update:
A Tax year like no other:
2020 in review; the Future in 2021

This year's January Tax Update promised to be different than any of our previous years session starting a new tax filling season.  We will address significant tax provisions contained in the SECURE Act, the CARES Act, the PPP Legislation enacted in early 2020 and the PPP2 Legislation enacted December 27, 2020.  It is expected that the Small Business Administration will have also released various regulations relating to PPP2 by this time.  If so, we will address those issues as well.  We will look at the PPP loan forgiveness provisions and how to handle the recording of the loan, the loan forgiveness and the related expenses on both the taxpayer's books and records, as well as, on the taxpayer's tax return.

And as if that weren't enough to prepare you for Tax Season 2021, we will look at every page of PPP2 - all 5,593 pages of the law - YES, we are kidding, but we will cover as many of the important tax provision as possible in this 150 minute session.

With the start of tax season 2021 just about to begin in earnest, this Tax Update is not be missed!

3 CE and CPE Credits will be offered
