    THis session will explore the four most important LIfe Care and Estate Planning documents that no one should Live without.

    We will explore the various types of trusts, understand the importance of wills, durable power of attorney and medical directives; as well as provide insights and practical information for taxation, gifting pitfalls, and asset protection.  Lastly, learn how the SECURE Act / CARES Act is effecting IRA's, 401(k) and retirement plans with Long Term Planning and Medicaid.

    In addition to being the lead Estate and Elder Law attorney at Stefans Law Group, Donna Stefans is the President of Summit Tax Advisors.  She is also a Registered Investment Advisor with Cetera Network Advisors LLC.

    Donna Stefans' practice focuses on providing services for Elder Law & Estate Administration, Special Needs Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Retirement Income Planning, Income Tax Preparation and Estate Tax Planning.  Her experience as an attorney, with an extensive knowledge in taxation, gives her the tools necessary to help individuals accomplish their estate planning goals and financial needs.

    Ms. Stefans is the Vice Chair of the New York State Bar Association, Elder Law section, Financial Planning Committee.  She is also a member and active participant of the:  National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, National Academy of Special Needs Planners, National Aging in the Place Council, Financial Services Institute, Financial Planning Association, and the Nassau and Suffolk County Bar Associations.  Her passion is helping to advocate and educate both attorneys and individuals in the ever changing world of Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Planning for all aspects of a person's financial life.
