    Estate Planning Update: Helping You, Your Family,
    and Clients Prepare for the Future

    This session will explore "The Fabulous 4" - the most important documents included in
    Estate Planning. We will explore the various types of trusts, understand the importance
    of wills, durable power of attorney and medical directives. Insights and practical information
    for taxation, gifting pitfalls, and avoiding costly mistakes in Life Care Planning will be given.  
    Lastly, learn how the SECURE Act is effecting IRA's, 401(k) and retirement plans.
       Presented by:  Donna Stefans, Esq.
    In addition to being the lead Estate and Elder Law attorney at Stefans Law Group, Donna Stefans is a
    Registered Investment Advisor with Cetera Advisors LLC.

    Donna's Stefan's practice focuses on providing services for Elder Law & Estate Administration, Special
    Needs Estate Planning, Asset Protection Planning, Retirement Income Planning, Income Tax Preparation
    and Estate Tax Planning.  Her experience as an attorney, with an extensive knowledge in taxation, gives her
    the tools necessary to help individuals accomplish their estate planning goals and financial needs.

    She is the Vice-Chairman of the Financial Planning committee of the Elder Law Section of the New York State
    Bar Association.  She is also an active member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), NYS Bar Association Committee for Individuals with Disabilities, Suffolk County Bar Associations. 
    Her passion is helping to advocate and educate both attorneys and individuals in the ever changing
    world of Elder Law, Estate Planning, and Planning for all aspets of a person's financial life. 


    Building a Legacy of Philanthropic Giving
    The non-profit sector plays an important role in todays society. Learn about the newest trends in the philanthropic marketplace as well as strategies Financial Planners can utilize when
    discussing next steps with their clients such as legacy giving and how the current tax laws have changed and how it could effect them.  Ways to grow your own non-profit practice will also be discussed.

    Marc is a founder and partner of m3 Development, a full-service consulting firm for non-profits
    and foundations.  His leadership of the firm and consulting efforts has led a great deal of success for m3
    Development clients.  For over 25 years, Marc has been at the forefront of all facets of the philanthropic world

    developing cutting edge solutions and practices for charities, families and foundations nationwide.

    Prior to m3 Development, Marc worked with the Jewish Fund for Justice; American Cancer Society, Eastern

    Division; Family Counseling Service; and Touro Law School.  Marc is a Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) and a member of the AFP Omega Circle. Marc previously served on the Board of the  AFP Foundation of Philanthropy; Board of AFP - Long Island Chapter; Alumni Council at Suffolk County College; and a Vice Chairman of the Foundation Board of Directors of  Sigma Pi Fraternity.  Marc is a member of the Board of Directors of the Wildwood Warrior Triathlon Club and the Lighting Warriors Youth Triantlon Club.  He has been an Adjunct Professor at Hofstra University; lecturer at Columbia Univerity, and a faculty member at LaGrange University.

    the 24 hours and no shows to the Program Meeting will not receive a refund.
